This work produced in the 1980s shows how Geneviève Asse, while reducing her palette to blue from this decade, keeps on  creating new atypical and puzzling compositions. This piece arouses a stimulating reflection about the notion of pictorial scale. In this oil on paper, the artist plays on material effects as much as on color. The color is uneven, sometimes brushed, either thick or thin, so as for the light to enter through the white of paper, questioning the viewer about the notion of visible and invisible.
